MICROSOFT AND MID-ATLANTIC BROADBAND COMMUNITIES tvWS PROJECT, VIRGINIA

Microsoft and MBC are activating the largest Homework Network in the U.S. — starting in Charlotte and Halifax counties — with support from the Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission. The network has been successfully piloted in 100 households across both counties, and will reach more than 3,000 students in 1,000 homes by the end of 2017. Students will have free access to their schools’ online networks where assignments and education resources are posted, extending their learning time beyond the school day.

King & queen county wireless service authority, virginia

Project Management of Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) operation from the original RFP all the way to General Manager and Engineer of the current Public Private Partnership (PPP) WISP operation. Wrote the winning proposal to provide wireless Internet service to the entire county through the leveraging of a PPP with the County government. Designed, built and maintain the network infrastructure. Aided in the drafting of a PPP contract that is now being used as a boiler plate for similar operations throughout the state. Design and engineer expansion of the network to neighboring counties. Research new technologies to increase the quality and capacity of the network.

P25 regional Public safety communication systems, Virginia

Project Manager for large public safety communications construction projects in Pittsylvania County, Bedford County, Amherst County, the Town of Bedford, the City of Lynchburg, Sussex County, New Kent County, Essex County, King & Queen County, Middlesex County, Fauquier County, Culpeper County, and Rappahannock County. Items in the Scope of the projects included Construction of new 60' to 300' towers, installation of new concrete shelters with standby generators, tower reinforcements, antenna and line work for the new P25 systems, antenna, waveguide and Microwave Radio installation, and decommission work. Other duties on these projects included microwave system engineering, microwave system installation, microwave monitoring and MPLS programming, line sweep certifications, site plan engineering, and grounding system engineering and testing.
